Definition
Cancel run asks Rima to stop an execution that is queued or currently running.
What it is for
It prevents unnecessary work when the wrong tests, order, environment, or data were selected.
How it works
- Click Cancel on an active or queued run in the project’s active-run area or Run History.
- Rima sends the cancellation request, stops the execution, and refreshes the run lists.
Example
Cancel a large regression run after noticing it targets production instead of staging, correct the environment, and start again.
Common use cases
- Stop a mistaken run.
- End a hung execution.
- Free runner capacity.
- Restart with corrected settings.
Where to find it
Use the cancel control shown for an active run in Run History or its run page.
Limitations, requirements, and permissions
- Only active or queued (cancellable) runs can be canceled; finished runs cannot.
- Requires run permission and access to the run.
