Privacy Policy
How Rima handles account, project, and testing data.
Overview
The Rima service is operated by Idris Saidu ("Rima", "we", "us"), who is responsible for the data practices described in this policy.
Rima collects the information needed to provide browser test recording, scheduling, project management, team access, billing, and support. We aim to keep data collection practical and limited to what helps the product work.
Information We Collect
We may collect account details, workspace details, project names, recorded test steps, run results, validation output, billing status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, support messages, and technical logs used to keep the service reliable. For eligible Business workspaces, we also store the assigned subdomain label.
Usage Analytics
To understand how people find Rima and get started with it, we record a small set of product events on our own servers: a visit to a public page, opening the demo video, creating an account, and the days a signed-in account was active. We store no IP address or browser user agent alongside them. Visits before you have an account are grouped by a random identifier kept in your browser's local storage; it is generated in your browser, contains nothing about you or your device, is linked to your account only if you register, and clearing site data for this site removes it.
Custom Subdomains
Eligible Business workspaces receive a unique label that becomes part of a publicly resolvable web address (for example, yourname.rima.com). Because this label forms a hostname, it is publicly visible and resolvable on the internet, and may appear in DNS records, certificate transparency logs, and server logs. Do not use a subdomain label that you consider sensitive. The label is retained while the workspace remains eligible and can be changed once every 30 days from workspace settings.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage user accounts.
- To record, replay, schedule, and report browser tests.
- To support teams, invitations, permissions, and billing.
- To investigate errors, abuse, security events, and service reliability issues.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us operate Rima, process payments, send email, or host infrastructure, only as needed to provide the service. Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe; Rima stores subscription status and Stripe identifiers, not full card details.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is perfect, so users should avoid recording highly sensitive secrets in browser tests unless necessary for their own workflow.
